Anzac Centenary Queensland Government Working Group

The Anzac Centenary Queensland Government Working Group (ACQGWG) helps ensure a collaborative approach in the coordination and commemoration of the Anzac Centenary and related activities. The ACQGWG has many roles, including:

  • Identifying, considering and providing advice regarding Anzac Centenary commemorative events and activities to be undertaken by state government agencies during 2014–2018.
  • Providing suggestions and assessing feasibilty for lasting tributes the government could deliver to those who have fought and served.
  • Identification of existing programs that may have relevance to the wider community during the Anzac Centenary commemoration period.
  • Ensuring a forum exists where senior government representatives can provide updates on commemorative initiatives led by their agency.
