Anzac Day 2015

On Anzac Day this year we commemorated the centenary of the landings at Gallipoli—a significant milestone in the Anzac Centenary commemoration program, which continues through to Remembrance Day in November 2018.

Congratulations to all involved in delivering a safe and memorable Anzac Day. Thanks to the tireless work and commitment from event committees and volunteers the legacy of Anzac Day is sure to be preserved and continue to strengthen each year.

Brisbane Anzac Day Dawn Service 2015

Thousands of people came together in Anzac Square to take part in the Brisbane Anzac Day Dawn Service. Others watched from screens set up in Post Office Square, King George Square and the Queens Street Mall. The speech by Governor Paul de Jersey was just one of the highlights from what was a moving and memorable service.

Brisbane Anzac Day Parade 2015

Following on from the dawn service, more than 20,000 people lined the streets to watch this year’s Anzac Day Parade. Around ten thousand people took part, with servicemen and women joining veterans, families and others marching in memory and honour of those who have served.
